This week has pretty much been a wash for me. I feel as if I've lost an entire week of my challenge.
Have I continued with my energy boosting, raw, organic clean Essante Organics pH 7.365 protein shake? Yes, every single day.
Have I kept up my daily exercise routine? Yes, 7 days in a row and twice on Thursday.
Did I stick to my calorie count each day? Yes...barely
Have I eaten clean, organic and healthy meals? Yes and no...
Breakfast is a no brainer. I eat a slice of sprouted grain toast with almond butter, half of a banana, and coffee with 2oz almond/coconut milk and 1/2 tsp of coconut oil (tons of health benefits!). On days I need a little extra protein boost, I eat an egg cooked in coconut oil.
Lunch is easy too. A pH 7.365 shake and a chewy/crunchy snack (mango, grapes, quinoa crackers, etc.).
Now, dinner is where I struggled this week. Typically, I fill up with a huge salad then top it off with a small bowl of soup or small portion of whatever I cook for the rest of the family. However, this week I did not cook a single meal. Instead, I ate my salad then had to leave to run errands, visit sick family, etc.
I broke the cardinal rule of dieting...I left the house hungry...and it bit me in the ass!
I grabbed food on the go. I chose low calorie options, but low calorie and healthy are 2 totally different things...and it showed!
Although I continued with my exercise program, I did not progress in weight or reps. Even though I rode my tryke 5 days this week, I set no new records for speed or distance...I was even off when I rode my horse. Despite to sticking to my calorie count all week, my weight did not budge.
By eating crap just once per day several times in a week, I sabotaged my body and my progress. Eating clean really does make all the difference in the world!

So how do you know if your diet is optimized for healthy living and progressing towards your goals? Test your pH.
Perfect body pH is 7.365...today I tested at 6.4. Granted, I used a saliva pH test which tends to fall a bit lower, but even still the base range of "normal" in a saliva test is 6.5.
So what do all of these numbers mean? Basically, I'm acidic! My body needs to be more balanced between acidic and alkaline (pH7.365) in order to function at it's best, stay healthy, and avoid disease.
So what now?...
In the coming week, I've vowed to get back on the "clean eating wagon". I've prepped my salads and dinner for the family. I've put Essante Thin and Sexy essential oil in the diffuser and in my body butter to detox the toxins out of my system. I've added Essante Organics Supreme pH drops to my daily regimen and I've stocked up on my Essante Super Reds and Earth Greens. I've mentally prepared to get back on track!
Mistakes happen. It's what you do after you've identified them that matters most.
Have you ever gotten off track with a goal? How did you set things right?
