My 1st week was a success! I stuck to my calorie count on myfittnesspal.com (connect with me!) and exercised everyday...EVEN ON THE WEEKEND!
I lost almost 4 lbs. in my 1st week! How's THAT for motivation?
Monday through Friday, I found it easy to stick to a routine...healthy balanced breakfast, exercise with the kids before lunch, drink a shake while I work on my business and the kids rest/nap, huge salad and soup or quinoa burger, etc. for dinner, healthy snack as needed...pretty simple.
However, weekends are typically a real challenge for me because my routine often goes out the window. While we are out running errands and such, we tend to eat on the run, which often means eating out...and many unwanted calories!
So how did I beat the inevitable temptations? I planned ahead!
On Saturday, I packed my shake, water and a healthy snack. On Sunday, I snacked on a Power Pop to curb my appetite before treating myself to my favorite restaurant.
Yes, I treated myself! I worked hard and met a lot of personal goals this week. I deserved a reward! However, I planned my meal on myfitnesspal.com and stuck to my goal, then enjoyed my shake for dinner and still came in under my calorie goal for the day!
Tips for surviving weekends:
Plan, plan, plan!
Utilize a calorie counter and make a budget.
When eating out, reduce your portions by starting with a light salad and boxing up 1/2 of your entree immediately.
Fill up on water.
Pack a healthy snack for every craving.
Try a Power Pop!
Do I expect to lose 4 lbs. every week? Certainly not, but I DO expect myself to work just as hard and see new and amazing results within my entire life each week!
